Two funny tidbits were reported in the past week by our Aunt April, who gets a different perspective of our daughter based on her timing at preschool and the comments from her precocious son, our friend Leifer.
On the playground:
"This morning when I dropped Leif off, Niranjana was playing goalie in soccer. She cracked me up as Leif and Isaac were walking out together. She yelled, “Hey you two, my team needs someone fast!” Leif was more than willing to go help out!
On gender roles:
Leif: “When I get older I am going to wear a dress.”
Uncle H (Leif's dad): “Well boys don’t wear dresses.”
Leif: “Yes they do.”
April: “Nope, wouldn’t daddy look silly in a dress?”
Leif: “I know boys who wear dresses!”
April: “Who?”
Leif: “Niranjana!”
April: “Niranjana isn’t a boy! She is a girl!”
Leif: “Nope, she is a boy because she is fun to do things with and I like being around her and playing with her. Girls are mean, so she isn’t a girl, she HAS to be a boy!”
Comments
She is so much fun!
Leif just thinks the world of Niranjana and I am so happy we get to be part of such a wonderful little girl's life!
